Selenio Silbermann
The Purple Mage and Son of the Lunalight
Life before he came the Hero to Be
Born in Limsa Lominsa and was the second born son to the Silbermann family. His family consists of his father (an Ishgardian Dark Knight), his mother (a Lominsan Arcanist) and his older brother who was an adventurer. At a young age, Selenio often traveled to and from Limsa Lominsa and Ishgard with his brother to see his parents, and just learning about the world around him. Aside from skills in the arcana arts, Selenio was living a rather normal life. However, he lost his family in the Fall of Dalamud 5 years ago.
Aftermath; he returned back to Limsa only to have a small case of PTSD and suffering from survivor's guilt, part of this was from his first activation of the Echo. To clear his mind of the grief his lost loved ones, Selenio had decided to leave Eorzea altogether and learn about the world.
5 years to the present, Selenio returns back to Limsa Lominsa. He was both nervous and happy to be back, now he’s gotten to be a more worldly and independent young adult. Selenio returns as a Summoner who uses an Amethyst Carbuncle that is almost always by his side. In addition to missing his homeland, something else in his mind was inclining him to return. Something regarding his powers and relating to the Moon.

Personality
Introduced, Selenio is an easygoing yet mysterious young man with a genuine love for the new and adventure. He's quite effervescent, and can get along with, gain respect from or draw almost anyone in with his character. In addition to the air of carefree charisma he displays, Selenio is shown to be very responsible and values the importance of helping others in times of dire need. While he may seem air-headed, he's far from it. He enjoys a challenge once in a while, just as long as it seems interesting to him or just because its to prove someone wrong. Selenio is very sharp and coherent when the time is needed for it. Whenever he feels played for a fool, he one-ups people with a smart aleck remark or action that leaves the person dumbfounded afterwards.
In Heavensward and onwards however, we also see another side of Selenio that begins to surface. Selenio begins to act taciturn and has been prone to be somewhat passive aggressive, stressed, and prone to get borderline violent if provoked. While his level of distrust has risen, so has his level of tolerance as well. What Selenio truly despises is dishonesty, especially around his allies. So expectancy forgiveness will be a long road for him if their wronging isn't what he considers reasonable. He's explained that he somewhat resents his position as Hydaelyn's chosen; that while he's happy that he's touched the lives of people from all over the realm, but he hates having to almost always be the go-to person whenever something goes amiss on a large scale. When worse comes to worse, he will put his foot down and explain to people that even he can't do everything himself and will demand they put more effort or give him a break.
But despite his constant strife, Selenio still shows his compassion and goodwill to others; giving off light humor or act mischievous just to lighten his mood.

Fun facts about Selenio
Selenio gives the best hugs! He loves to give them to people even when they don't want it. "Victims" of his affectionate behavior are Rikinosuke, Y'shtola, the Leveilleur twins, Tataru, Haurchefant, Lyse, and even Aymeric.
Is not a morning person at all. Rikinosuke or any Scion can attest that needed to try extra hard to get him to function properly in the earlier hours of the day.
As a Summoner, Selenio has done feats that has suprassed the experts in the class. He created the Amethyst Carbuncle, a unique carbuncle that he manipulates lightning based aether. It was later enhanced after he fought Ramuh.
He's a budding artist and writer. Sometime after the Dragonsong War was over, he got to thinking of trying his hand at it. On his leisure time, Selenio has drawn pictures of people and landscapes of the realm. He's already a gotten a mini novel of his adventures throughout the realm and is on plans of making it to be published. He gets some pointers from Alphinaud or Lord Edmont when he gets stuck however.
Selenio's charm point is his hair. Some people can testify that when touching it, it was hard to not stop due to the fact it was really fluffy and soft.
Is Allagan savvy. He's one of the few non-Sharlayan affiliated who's studied its history. He often shares what he knows to others who aren't familiar with it.
Relationships
Arianne and Sigmund Silbermann
Relationship: Parents (deceased)
Arianne was a Scholar and Professor in the Arcanist's Guild in Limsa Lominsa. She was the one who help Selenio in his introduction to arcane arts and learning of Eorzean, Allagan history, and personal research on Dalamud and the Moon. A tad strict, but very friendly and wise, Selenio goes to her when he's in distress. It's later learned that she was former Sharlayan alumni and had opted to stay in Eorzea sometime after Louisoix's example.
Sigmund was Dark Knight and Sellsword who worked in both Coerthas and Mor Dhona. He was originally of Ishgardian decent, but decided to leave to find a life outside of the city's strict borders. Has dad humor for days and friendly to his friends and sons, but ruthless and analytical to his enemies. He stayed to help adventurers who travel in and out of Revenant's Toll and was actually good friends with Slafborn Rhotweitzsyn, one of the many in charge of the settlement.
When their children became teenagers, they separated due to conflict differences regarding their work. However, despite their own issue they still love their sons and make them their first priority nonetheless.
Lunick Silbermann
Relationship: Elder Brother (deceased)
Lunick was a Gladiator who was following his father's footsteps in swordsmanship. Being the older brother, Lunick was both a loveable yet ball-buster to Selenio, but all in good humor and he just wants to help him break out of his shell. When Selenio became a more seasoned Arcanist, he joined him in adventures outside La Noscea. Selenio explains that the reason he wanted to do magic instead of fending was because he wanted to try a class different than his brother, stating to feel unique.
When he returned to Eorzea five years later, Selenio visited a memorial shrine in La Noscea for the souls lost in Carteneau. Their names were listed among them.
Rikinosuke Endouji
Relationship: Best Friend, now Lover
The two met 5 years ago in Kugane when Selenio was on the road outside of Eorzea. Now initially, Rikinosuke was rather hostile towards him due to being a foreigner, but Kotokaze insisted to help him since it was Selenio's first time in the Far Eastern city. Selenio talked to Rikinosuke about his adventures throughout the world. He wanted to not only find purpose in his life, but also just flee from the grief of his lost ones. Rikinosuke didn't explain why, but he could sympathize with him and felt some inspired to leave his home in Kugane following Selenio's example. A day later, he bids goodbye to the monk and hopes to see him again when he travels to Eorzea. Before leaving, he even gave him one of his bracelets as a keepsake. Over the time, they exchanged pen pal letters a lot of their lives since Selenio's departure. They reunited in Eorzea 5 years later, where the two end up going on adventures together while under affiliation of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn.
Rikinosuke is Selenio's best friend. When the world and the Scions (to some extent) place Selenio on a pedestal as a hero, Rikinosuke treats him like normal and was the first person to genuinely do as such. Despite their seemingly clashing personalities, the two get along and support each other through their hardships. Around Stormblood, their relationship began to get closer than friends. After the liberation of Ala Mhigo, the two confess their love for each other and began dating.
Haurchefant Greystone
Relationship: Best Friend (deceased)
Selenio has a special spot for Haurchefant in his heart. He was very touched on how giving and welcome he was to him. When they first met in Camp Dragonhead, Selenio admitted he was initially a little thrown off by the Elezen’s eccentricity regarding his heroism, but got accustomed to it and welcomed it during his times of strife. In Heavensward, while he was a little disheartened at Rikinosuke leaving for the time being, he went to Haurchefant for emotional comfort. It was implied, that Selenio did have some romantic feelings for Haurchefant as well. When he died trying to protect Selenio, the midlander lost it; trying to resuscitate him and having a minor case of tunnel vision. Even after his death, Selenio still tries to contain his emotions. After the Dragonsong War was over, he would often visit Haurchefant's memorial and talk about his life and that of Ishgard after his passing.
Scions of the Seventh Dawn
Relationship: Good friends, practically family
Selenio admits to having some doubts about this group when they intially met, but it went away after seeing their genuine dedication to the cause of bettering Eorzea's future. He's grateful to them for guiding and supporting him during his career as the Warrior of Light. While he's gotten close to everyone in the group, he's bonded more with:
Y'shtola Rhul - The one who recognized Selenio's ability to use the Echo from when she was in Limsa Lominsa. Being the first Scion he's met, their relationship is relatively closer; Selenio enjoys her company and even clicked on a couple trivial topics off-duty. The two have show genuine care for each other throughout the story; Selenio making sure she's alright after her incident with the Flow leaving her semi-blind and Y'shtola learning of Selenio's light corruption and checking in on him each time absorbed a Lightwarden's aether. Aside from that, the two get along well even sharing some back and forth playful humor when it's appropriate.
Alphinaud and Alisaie Leveilleur - He was initially indifferent about the twins, thinking they were "overprivileged brats too smart for their own good". But after spending time with them and witnessing his struggles as the Warrior of Light, they've become more considerate to following the cause in saving Eorzea (the Bahamut saga especially). Selenio treats them as younger siblings, even sympathizing with their familiar struggles and being the tie breaker when they have their sibling rivalries.
G'raha Tia/ Crystal Exarch
Relationship: Good Friends
Selenio originally met G'raha at Mor Dhona while exploring the Crystal Tower. The two instantly bonded over their love for adventuring and for their abundant knowledge over Allagan history. After G'raha had decided to stay in the Crystal Tower, Selenio was rather disheartened to no longer see his friend.
In Shadowbringers, Selenio was rather skeptical of the Exarch due to his secretive nature and because the man claims he didn't know nothing of G'raha. Their relationship also strained somewhat when the Exarch hid the effects about Selenio's condition regarding the Lightwardens and the Echo explaining his plan to Urianger. Selenio forgave him, but he enforces that G'raha from no longer acts like a martyr and to (applies to Alisaie as well) not be so overly fanatic about his status as the Warrior of Light.
Ardbert
Relationship: Enemies to Friends, Counterparts (deceased)
SPOILERS
Ardbert is Selenio's counterpart from the First. They were initially enemies due to Ardbert and his allies trying to kill him to save their world. However after getting a hoping chance by Minfillia/Hydaelyn, they left on seemingly good terms. In Shadowbringers, the two bonded a lot better; talking about their adventures, problems Selenio was having while in the First, even Selenio helped Ardbert in regaining his lost hope saving his home. Turns out they are both reincarnations to Azem, an Ancient who was part of the Convocation of Fourteen
Mr. Scheherazade
Jokes aside, Selenio is very friendly and loves telling stories of his adventures. You want to have a day where just kick back, grab dinner or a drink and enjoy tales from a renowned hero, he's your man. Of course, he's always in the mood to listen of others' stories as well.
Dark Side of the Moon
Selenio has always been seen as an epitome of hope by others, but even he is with limits and with his share of demons. No matter how much he fights, the emotional baggage is heavy and in need for a shoulder to cry on. (Bonus if you're also a Dark Knight, bond together over the struggle)
Renaissance Man
Living in Limsa Lominsa, Selenio has been exposed to the diverse cultures that maritime city has offered. In addition to the disciplines/jobs he's taken, he's also developed skills and forms of speech from both aristocrats and rogues alike. One of his saving graces down the road as an adventurer.

Now keep in mind, while it does say that Selenio is in a relationship, it's just with my other OC, Rikinosuke. Since I can't play as both my characters in game simultaneously, just go the idea that Selenio is single. Also, if we're being realistic here, Selenio is the Warrior of Light, but I'm omitting that part of his character from RPs, just because I wanna give him more character outside of that.
